Unbinding Your Heart is a sermon series that is one part of this year’s all church study. It is inspired by a book* by the same name, authored by Martha Grace Reese.
It’s about untying the metaphorical knots that keep us from living exciting lives in God’s Spirit, so that the Good News that God absolutely adores us and everyone else, as shown to us through Jesus Christ is released.
This series promises to help us live out Jesus’ call to make “disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)
Plan to attend all six weekend classes, attend either the Wednesday or Sunday studies, and follow the forty day prayer journal in the back of the book*. The series begins February 29 and will finish April12.
Congregation wide Breathrough Prayer Initiative
Breakthrough Prayer 8:33 Holy and generous God, guide us to connect our soul purpose with You and Your will, that our relationships may flourish, leading us into a breakthrough year of growth and service, exceeding our dreams and expectations. In Jesus' name, Amen
All too often we find ourselves focusing so far in the future or perhaps pondering regrets of the past, that we miss recognizing the God sightings. It’s like we have spiritually fallen asleep. The good news is, with our recent participation in the breakthrough prayer movement, we are starting to wake up. As we continue to do the daily breakthrough prayer at 8:33 am & pm and the prayer walking, both in the church building and in the Reedsburg community, we are seeing God breaking through. The more we pray the more we see God at work in answered prayers. The more we see God at work the more it energizes us. You are all encouraged to share your God sightings during worship, at gatherings or individually to help others recognize and be inspired by what God is doing in our lives.
What is God's Will for you? Rejoice always, pray continually & in everything give thanks! (1 Thes. 5:16-18) Join us as we fulfill God's will in our lives and our congregation.
